How do you pack your prints for postage? A: A4 or 6x4 prints are placed in a suitably sized flat envelope with a card or plastic stiffener. A3 and poster prints are rolled into a postal tube.
How do you calculate the postage cost? A: Upon receiving your email request for photo prints, I will calculate the post and packing costs and then reply to your email with this cost quote before proceeding. On receiving your approval to proceed, and receiving your payment, I will proceed with the printing and posting.
How long does delivery take? A: In normal situations, your photo will be posted from Geeveston, Tasmania within two days of your payment being cleared into our bank account. How long it then takes to get to you depends on your destination, and the vagaries of the postal service.
If we are away from home/office on photography trips then posting will be delayed. The timing and lengths of these are not predictable in advance.
What is your pricing structure? A: 6x4 prints are $7.50 AUD (GST inc) plus post and packing. A4 prints are $22.50 AUD (GST inc) plus post and packing. A3 prints are $45.50 AUD (GST inc) plus post and packing. Poster prints are $95.00 AUD (GST inc) plus post and packing.
Your web images have copyright notices. Will the prints have this? A: No. The copyright notice is to prevent unlicensed copying of the images off the website. The prints will simply have a discreet signature on the bottom edge.
How thick is the paper you use? A: It is top quality Ilford Gallerie or Canon Pro photo paper for inkjet printers. It is 245 or 270gsm, comparable to that used in the best commercial prints at a photo laboratory.
Do your prints come out exactly as they appear on the web site? A: If they do, it would be by sheer coincidence. There are so many sorts (discharge/TV type, active matrix, LCD), so many different makes, and so many colour profiles of monitors that it would be impossible to exactly match all of them simultaneously. All I can say is that the prints match my office monitor. And that you would not be disappointed with the colour truth and depth.
